I took a nap today and when I woke up, the sound of torrential downpour led me to the office balcony. I opened the window to breathe the air that I knew would smell lovely.
As I looked around my humble balcony area (which btw is in need of some serious cleaning), I noticed these beautiful little ripples in the water that accumulated on the floor and they reminded me of design patterns that I work with—concentric circles or waves—common elements in oriental artwork.
What made these especially captivating to me was how they were so random and in their randomness, they created this kind of serene all-encompassing music that filled me with so much peace.
